"Let's All Dance!" For the third year in a row, MDT has been awarded a generous grant from the prestigious Marin Community Foundation. The funds will be allocated to expand our exciting "Let’s All Dance!" program which presents teachers and dance based arts education in Marin County elementary and middle Schools. Under the direction of our Community Dance Director, Cynthia Pepper, our program will extend from elementary schools to middle schools throughout Marin County. Ms. Pepper has over 22 years experience of creating and teaching in outreach programs in the private and public schools from Kindergarten to College aged students. The program will be rich in many forms of dance including ballet, modern, jazz, African, hip-hop and much more. She will use a highly professional group of teachers selected for their expertise in each of their dance techniques. Our objective is to give the students in the community a wide range of dance curriculum culminating in a concert collage where the children perform in their schools the various dance forms they studied. By teaching the series of classes integrating the students into the performance work and showcasing the dances for the schools, our knowledge of pedagogy theory will be given to the students on many levels. For more information on how these programs can be included in your school call (415) 499-8891. Wells Fargo Grant
