Upper & Lower Divisions have separate calendars, to better distinguish differences in dates & events. Please be sure to refer to your student's respective calendar for accurate information.

Junior & Senior Division 2026/2027 School Calendar

Marin Dance Theatre Dress Code

Class Uniforms by Level

Young Dancer Division

Dancers should not wear jewelry to class, which includes no dangling earrings or other loose jewelry (pierced ears with posts are ok). Dancer's hair must be put neatly in a ballet bun or pulled back off the face if it's too short for a bun.

 

GROWN-UP AND ME
Girls: SoDanca Trissie princess cut cap sleeve light pink leotard, style #SL13 or Mirella girls cap sleeve light pink leotard, style #M515C, white socks and pink ballet slippers. Boys: Fitted black shorts, white t-shirt, white socks, and black ballet slippers. Dancer's hair should be pulled back off the face and neck. Grown-ups can wear comfortable clothing.

EARLY INTRODUCTION and INTRODUCTION TO BALLET 1, 1/2 & 2
Girls: SoDanca Trissie princess cut cap sleeve light pink leotard, style #SL13 or Mirella girls cap sleeve light pink leotard, style #M515C, white socks and pink ballet slippers. Boys: Fitted black shorts, white t-shirt, white socks, and black ballet slippers. Dancer's hair should be pulled back off the face and neck.

PRE-BALLET 1, 1/2 & 2
Girls: SoDanca Trissie princess cut cap sleeve light pink leotard, style #SL13 or Mirella girls cap sleeve light pink leotard, style #M515C, pink or skin tone inclusive tights and ballet slippers. Boys: Fitted black shorts, white t-shirt, white socks, and black ballet slippers. Dancer's hair must be put neatly in a ballet bun or pulled back off the face if it's too short for a bun.

ELEMENTARY 1 & 2
Girls: SoDanca princess cut cap sleeve light blue leotard,style #SL13 (child) or #SL12 (adult) or Bloch essential short sleeve pastel blue leotard, style #CL5602, pink or skin tone inclusive tights and ballet slippers. Boys: Fitted black shorts, white t-shirt, white socks, and black ballet slippers. Dancer's hair must be put neatly in a ballet bun or pulled back off the face if it's too short for a bun.

BALLET FOUNDATIONS
Girls: Mirella black camisole leotard style #M207L or Bloch essential black camisole leotard style #l5607. Dancers are required to have pink or skin tone inclusive tights and ballet slippers. Boys: Fitted black shorts, white t-shirt, white socks, and black ballet slippers. Dancer's hair should be pulled back off their face and neck.

Junior & Senior Division

Dancers should not wear jewelry to class, which includes no dangling earrings or other loose jewelry, no visible tattoos (temporary or permanent), and no body piercings (pierced ears with posts are ok). Dancer's hair must be put neatly in a ballet bun or pulled back off the face if it's too short for a bun.

In the colder months when the studios can be chilly, dancers may wear solid black, navy or dark grey fitted long-sleeve sweaters, shirts or non-hooded zipper jackets. Solid color leg warmers may also be worn.

 

JUNIOR 1, 2 & 3A/3B
Girls Leotards - Bloch essential camisole leotard in color "Aubergine", style #CL5607 (child sizes) or #L5607 (adult sizes). Dancers should have pink or skin tone inclusive tights and pink ballet slippers.
Boys: Black tights, white t-shirt, and black ballet slippers.

JUNIOR 4, 5A, 5B, 5C, SR. 1 & SR. 2
Girls Leotards - Dancers must choose from these options: Mirella black camisole leotard style #M207L, Bloch essential black camisole leotard style #L5607, Wear Moi black tank leotard "Faustine" #WM238, Wear Moi black tank leotard "Galate", Capezio black princess tank leotard style #CC202. Dancers should have pink or skin tone inclusive tights, pink ballet slippers and pointe shoes (NOTE: Pointe shoes are for levels Jr. 5A-Sr. 2 only).
Boys: Black tights, white t-shirt, and black ballet slippers.

Character Skirt - Black kneecap length character skirt, Eurotard style #13774 or Mirella by Bloch style #MS23.
Character Shoes - Dancers may choose from these options: Capezio style #550 or SoDanca style #CH50. Heel height should be 1.5 inches (not higher than 1.5 inches).
