Advanced Summerdance Program; 4 weeks, 6-Day Program

This level is for current Junior 5C & Senior dancers with two Advanced levels by placement, based on enrollment. An audition is required if student is not currently enrolled at MDT. Curriculum may include: Technique, Pointe, Contemporary, Variations, Pilates Mat, Jazz, Cross-Training and Repertoire Rehearsal. This program also includes
Master Class Saturdays with a current or former San Francisco Ballet principal dancer each week.
Intermediate 2/3 Summerdance Program; 4 weeks, 5-Day Program

Junior B Summer Program; 2 weeks, 5-Day Program

This level is for current Junior 3 dancers. An audition is required if student is not currently enrolled at MDT. Curriculum may include: Technique, Pre-Pointe, Contemporary, Hip-Hop/Jazz, Pilates Mat, Musical Theater, Character and Repertoire Rehearsal.
*There is an optional Summerdance performance opportunity that allows Junior dancers to participate in Summerfest. Dancers must be able to attend classes Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays July 25 - Aug. 4, 4:30 - 6:30pm for Technique, Pre-Pointe and Rehearsals. Dress rehearsals will be held Aug. 4, schedule for the 4th TBD with the performance on August 5th.

MDT current levels: Jr. 5 - Sr. dancers. Gear up for your summer intensive with our Ballet Boot Camp. This workshop consists of daily Ballet Technique, plus a variety of Pointe, Jazz, Conditioning and Repertoire, to balance out a wonderful week of training. Join us and get your summer dance goals off to a great start. 10% discount taken off your Boot Camp tuition if participating in MDT’s (full) 4-week Summerdance Intensive. These programs cannot be prorated.
Junior Classical Workshop - Swan Lake

July 17 - 21, Monday - Friday – held at our Corte Madera Studio
MDT current levels: Jr. 1-Jr. 3. Our Junior level classical workshop provides an opportunity to enhance your dancer’s training and repertoire while learning about the famous classical ballet, Swan Lake. Each day will include stretch & strength along with a full level specific ballet class (continued curriculum from our year-round school). Dancers will discuss the classical ballet story, watch pieces of company performances and variations, and learn about stage characterization through artistry and technique. Dancers will be exposed to appropriately modified versions of famous variations danced in the ballet - a first introduction to "variations class." Join us for this exciting new classical workshop opportunity. This program cannot be prorated.
For all the above programs, current students are placed by faculty and new students are placed by audition. The above levels will be offered based on enrollment and are subject to change. Participation in Summerfest 2023 is optional for the Junior A & B levels and requires an additional fee based on student’s level.
